Our Team
Our team of therapists brings several decades of combined experience working within the NHS, supporting people with a wide range of mental health difficulties. We are highly trained clinicians with extensive expertise in the delivery of evidence-based psychological therapies.
Alongside our NHS backgrounds, we offer coaching and therapy within private practice, providing tailored, confidential support to individuals seeking personal growth, improved wellbeing, or help navigating life’s challenges. We are committed to compassionate, ethical, and effective care, and work collaboratively with clients to achieve meaningful and lasting change.

I am a senior NHS psychotherapist and Oxford-trained cognitive behavioural therapist, with over two decades of experience working with depression, burnout, and complex emotional difficulties. Alongside my clinical work, I specialise in mindfulness-based approaches and have played a leading role in developing and delivering Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) services within the NHS.
I established and lead a specialist mindfulness service, where I oversee a team of clinicians delivering evidence-based interventions for patients and staff. My work also extends nationally and internationally through training and teaching, including teaching and examining on the Master’s programme in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy at the University of Oxford.
I completed a PhD at the University of Nottingham and have published research in the field of mindfulness and depression, with a particular interest in understanding why depression can become persistent and difficult to shift.
This combination of clinical practice, service leadership, teaching, and research shapes how I work. It allows me to bring both depth and clarity to therapy, helping people make sense of patterns that may have developed over many years and to find a way forward that feels both realistic and sustainable.
-
I offer a confidential, focused and collaborative space to think clearly about what’s going on and how things might change. My approach is practical and compassionate, combining structured, evidence-based strategies with a deeper exploration of patterns that may be maintaining difficulties.
We will work together to understand how your current experience has developed, including the ways in which attempts to cope may inadvertently be keeping things stuck. From there, we identify targeted ways to shift these patterns - whether through developing new skills, changing how you relate to thoughts and emotions, or creating space for different ways of responding.
I aim to keep therapy grounded, thoughtful and purposeful. Many people I work with value having a space that is both intellectually engaging and emotionally attuned - where we can make sense of things properly, not just manage them.
-
In private practice, I work primarily with professionals and individuals in high-responsibility roles who are experiencing stress, burnout, anxiety, or low mood. These difficulties often develop in the context of sustained pressure, where high standards and responsibility begin to take their toll.
I have particular expertise in:
Burnout and work-related stress
Depression and persistent low mood
Overthinking and rumination
Emotional exhaustion and loss of motivation
The impact of high responsibility and performance pressure
My background in CBT provides a strong evidence-based framework, while my work in mindfulness and depth-informed approaches allows me to go beyond symptom management. This can be especially helpful when difficulties feel entrenched or when people find themselves stuck in patterns they understand intellectually but struggle to change.

My approach is collaborative, goal-focused and tailored to you with confidentiality and safety at its heart. CBT is the main model I use but other approaches will be looked at if this is not suitable.
My coaching is CBT-based. I keep the evidence-based roots of CBT but frame it for performance, goals and personal development rather than clinical mental health.
